· Design advanced 2D semiconductor materials from DFT calculations with applications in photocatalysis, spintronics and micro-electronics.
· Fabrication and analysis of low-dimension nanomaterials, such as thinfilm, nanosheet and nanoparticles.
· Develop advanced Pb-free solder alloys for modern electronic packaging
个人简介
Dr. Wei Zhou received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics departement of Tianjin University on 2006 and 2010, respectively. Then, he joint the Physics department as a assistant professor on 2011. After 2015, he has worked as a associate professor. Besides, since 2014, he is also a guest researcher in National Institute for Material Science (NIMS) of Japan. His research interests mainly focus on designing advanced low-dimensional and composiste functional materials, including photocatalysis, electronic conductivity and spintronics, from theoretical (DFT) and experimental aspects.
He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed SCI papers until 2017, such as Adv. Mater., Adv. Fun. Mater., Nano Energy, J. Mater. Chem. A, Chem. Comm., Appl. Phys. Lett., J. Phys. Chem. C, and Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys.
