研究方向

  • · Computer simulation of pollutant transport. The focus is on Lagrangian particle method and scientific computing.  The application includes pollutant transport in atmosphere, river and ocean, e.g. salinity, sediment, smog and oil spill.

  • · Computer simulation of multi-phase fluid dynamics. The focus is on computational fluid dynamics, meshless methods and scientific computing. The application is mainly related to urban stormwater management.

  • · Computational aeroacoustics. The focus is on wave propogation in flowing fluids in a domain with moving boundaries. The application is continuous human speech production and speech synthesis.

个人简介

Qingzhi Hou holds B.S. and M.Sc degrees in Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics from Northwestern Polytechnical University. From 2008 to 2012, he did his Ph.D at Eindhoven University of Technology with the scholarship award from China Scholarship Council (CSC), where he focused on numerical and experimental study of unsteady conduit flows. From 2010 to 2011, as a Visiting Scholar, he visited the University Technology Centre for Mechanical Transmissions Systems, Gas Turbine Transmission Systems, University of Nottingham. Before joining Tianjin university in 2013, he was a Research Fellow at Shenzhen Research Institute, City University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Hou is currently working on Lagrangian particle modeling and experiments of multi-phase fluid dynamics, its visualization and engineering application. His focus includes meshless methods, high performance computing, scientific computing and visualization.
