个人简介
Our group focuses on studying the mechanisms of oncogenesis mediated by human long interspersed elements 1 (LINE-1 or L1). L1 retrotransposons are mobile genetic elements comprising about 17% of the human genome. The insertion of L1 has been associated with genome instability, inherited genetic diseases, and the development of cancer. We are hunting for the modulators of L1 retrotransposition and exploring the significance of these modular with L1 retrotransposition. It remains to be proven whether L1 correlates with prognosis, diagnoses and therapy in cancer.
