Wang Ran(F’89) received the Bachelor degree in law from Shandong University in 2011 (Jinan, China), received the Master degree and received Doctor degree in law respectively in 2013 and 2016 from Renmin University of China (Beijing, China). She studied at Berkeley Law as the visiting scholar from 2018 to 2019(Berkeley U.S).

She has been a lecturer in Law School of Tianjin University since 2016. Her research interest includes new development and challenge in judicial system brought by big data and artificial intelligence and analysis of legal issues using big data methods. 

Wang Ran’s awards include the  Second Prize of Poster Presentation of the GETS Conference with the presentation "Legal Tech in China and U.S. "( Phoenix AZ, 2019), the First Prize of the 1th China Cyber Law Outstanding Achievement Award of 2018,  the First Prize of China Youth Jurist Forum of 2016, the Excellence Award of China Youth Jurist Forum of 2017 with the paper Trial-centred Litigation System Reform: Justice System of Big Data, and Shenzhi Kang Prize of Excellent Teaching of Tianjin University.
