Brief Introduction

       Dr. Liu is a talented associate professor and doctoral supervisor in the Medical College of Tianjin University, China. She received her Ph.D. degree in information production and systems at Waseda University Japan in 2012. She worked as a lecturer in School of E.E from 2013 to 2016, and was an associate professor from 2016 to 2022 in School of AI at Xidian University, respectively. Her research interests are broadly in the area of artificial intelligence, pattern recognition with applications to data mining, medical video and image understanding. She has been responsible for more than 10 research projects including the ones both from the Chinese government and several institutions, and especially she has gained several important research projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. She has published more than 80 papers on top journals and conferences including IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TNNLS, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TGRS, AAAI, ACM MM, and IJCAI, and granted nearly 20 patents. She is also a senior member of IEEE, IEEE CIS, China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG), and Shaanxi association of automation. She won the Anita Borg Scholarship in Asia area from Google Inc. in 2012. She was also granted the innovation award in 5th China High Resolution Earth Observation Conference in 2018, the best paper award in IEEE ICDM Workshop in 2019, and the Chinese Young Female Scholars in Artificial Intelligence in 2023.
