Brief Introduction

Dr. Wu holds B.S. degree from Central South University, China and Ph.D. degree from the University of Toronto, Canada, where he conducted the research on dynamic failure of underground rock materials. In 2016, he joined Tianjin university as an assistant professor in the Insitute of Geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, School of Civil Engineering. His specialized research fields are dynamic response of geomaterials, dynamic fracture mechanics, rock physics, impact dynamic of rock materials. Dr. Wu's work includes laboratory studies of dynamic earthquake ruptures, dynamic friction, mode I and mixed mode spontaneous fractures, dynamic response of engieering materials under elevated temperature, crack propagation mechanism of jointed rock masses under high loading rates.
