Dr. Chang-Jun Liu is now a Chang Jiang Distinguished Professor of School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Tianjin University, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from Tianjin University in 1993. After postdoctoral positions at the University of Oklahoma (2.5 years) and Prairie View A&M University (1 year), he joined ABB Cooperate Research, Switzerland, as an engineer. He became a Professor at Tianjin University in 1999. Prof. Liu’s research interests include catalysis, CO₂utilization, clean fuels, methane conversion, preparation of catalyst and nanomaterials by cold plasmas. He has published more than 200 papers. He was in the list of highly cited Chinese authors (Chemical Engineering) by Elsevier since 2014. He has made more than 40 plenary speeches and invited talks in the international conferences in USA, UK, Germany, Belgium, Japan, Canada, Norway, S Korea, Thailand and China. He served as 2010 Program Chair of the Fuel Chemistry Division of the American Chemical Society and Chair of the 10th International Conference on CO₂ Utilization. He has successfully organized more than 10 ACS symposia in USA. He initiated Green Chemistry for Fuels symposium series in ACS Fuel Chemistry Division. He initiated and organized the international symposium on plasmas for catalysts and energy materials. He was a guest editor for the ACS Symposium Series, Catalysis Today, Green Chemistry and ChemCatChem, and advisory board member of Energy & Environmental Science. He is now an advisory board member for Greenhouse Gases: Science & Technology and CO₂ forum. He is an editorial board member for Applied Catalysis B, Journal of CO₂ Utilization and Chinese Journal of Catalysis. He became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2011.
