The Principal Investigator has expertise and long-time experience on analysis and integrity of steel structure ,space structure, as well as in composite structure. During the last decade, among other research activities,
· He is the executive director of the Organizing Committee of the national modern structural engineering Academic Conference.
· He is our country's Eleventh National Games host Designer (this stadium is the world's largest span of the dome structure).
· He is currently member of the international society for thin shell and space structures. He is the vice chairman of China Steel Association Building Steel Structure Association.
· He has been the editorial member of space structure .He has been the member of China steel structure industry" editorial board.
· His work has been the basis of the technical specification for concrete filled rectangular steel tubular joints in Tianjin recently.
· He has participated in numerous national and international research projects on the structural behavior and integrity of steel structure.
· He has a strong publication record on the topic of structural analysis and behavior of steel structure ,space structure, as well as in composite structure; most publications on this topic refer to steel structure.
· He has developed a strong expertise on steel structure, mainly through its collaboration with China Steel Association Building Steel Structure Association, as reflected in his recent publications.
· He Has won the "new century talents project national candidate, the Ministry of education for new century excellent talents, the first" steel structure Excellence Award "title, in academic and engineering circles have enjoyed a high reputation and status. In 2011 won the national science and technology progress two prize (first adult), approved by the State Council in 2013, enjoy the special allowance of the State Council of 2011
· He presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China: the system of tensegrity domes based on tensegrity ideas.
· Presided over the Ministry of construction project (steel structure residential project): special-shaped column steel structure multi-storey residential system (2002)
· He has presided over 15 items of scientific research work, including the National Natural Science Foundation project, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation of Ministry of education, science and technology research project of Science Fund Project of the Ministry of construction and construction of Tianjin city science and technology key project etc.. As the main author and editor who completed 10 works. In the national academic journals and conference papers published more than 100 articles, including SCI and EI search papers, has a number of patents.
