I am currently a doctoral supervisor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tianjin University, a senior visiting scholar at the University of Melbourne, and a researcher at the Hunan International Rice Capital Agricultural Technology Research Institute. I was recognized as the 2018 Person of the Year by "Science China." I specialize in using chemical, biological, and materials engineering technologies to tackle environmental pollution issues, including soil, atmospheric VOCs, and water treatment.I developed the innovative normal temperature catalytic oxidation (NTCO) technology for degrading volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which has been identified as "domestically leading" by the Technology Achievement Evaluation Center. I successfully prepared atomic-level active site catalysts for the normal temperature degradation of VOCs and revealed the reaction mechanism of VOCs under normal temperature catalytic oxidation without external energy input.I advocate for the concept of "simultaneous remediation and increased yield" in agricultural soil restoration. This approach involves controlling the migration of heavy metals and pesticides, optimizing the rhizosphere microbial community structure, and regulating small organic carbon molecules, achieving the transformation and industrial application of technological results. The "Nutrient Organic Carbon Skeleton Soil Remediation Agent" has been identified as "internationally leading" by the Tianjin High-tech Achievement Transformation Center.The series of "simultaneous remediation and increased yield" organic fertilizers developed can efficiently and cost-effectively restore damaged farmland soil, effectively blocking the migration of heavy metals to the roots, degrading pesticide residues such as DDT in the soil, and increasing crop yields while improving the taste of agricultural products. This has demonstrated the large-scale application of organic fertilizers as a substitute for chemical fertilizers.
I have published over 110 academic papers in high-level journals such as Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Journal of Cleaner Production, Environmental Pollution, and Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research. I have formulated two group standards, authored three books, and obtained two software copyrights. I hold over 90 authorized invention patents, including five international patents and 20 transferred patents, and have received ten national or provincial-level scientific and technological awards and honors. In the past three years, I have undertaken and participated in one national key research and development project, three independent funding projects, one Tianjin science and technology plan project, and one rural revitalization special project. My research results have been positively reported by several media outlets, including People's Weekly, Science and Technology Daily, Polar Star Environmental Network, Tianjin University News, Environmentor, and Microecology, receiving positive feedback from professionals in the field.
