HongWei Fang was born in Anhui, China, in 1977. He received the B. S. degree, the M. S. and Ph.D. from Tianjin University, China, in 1999, 2004, and 2007 respectively, all in electrical engineering. From Oct. 2009 to Dec. 2009, he was a visitor fellow in Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain.
He is currently an associate professor in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering , Tianjin University, China. His current research interests include electrical machines & drives, power electronics, wind and ocean wave energy power generation.
