Education Background
- Bachelor| Central South University (中南大学)| Civil Engineering| 1998
- Ph D| Beijing Jiaotong University (北京交通大学)| Solid Mechanics| 2003
Research Interests
- Damage and fracture of bio- and advanced materials. The primary goals are to understand the toughening mechanisms and optimize design so as to achieve the possible ideal strength.
- Adhesive contact, friction and failure. The effect of adhesion may be significant or even dominant on the mechanical behavior of materials and structures at small scales. The purpose of our research is to develop models so as to capture the effects during contact, sliding onset and failure
- Material modeling where it is to develop theoretical models on the basis of mechanisms involved during the deformation of nanostructured and microstructured materials.
