Prof. Feng Gao received his B.S. and M.S. from Xi'An Jiaotong University in 1985 and 1988, respectively. Then he researched and received his Ph.D. in Xi'An institute of optics and precision mechanics of CAS. After that, he worked in delft university of technology, university college London, Strasbourg University, Japan national institute of industrial technology and university of electro-communications as an visiting scholar, post-doctoral or other identities. From 2003, he went back to China and began to work as a professor in college of precision instrument and optoelectronics engineering in Tianjin University. From 2003 to 2008, he was selected as a specially-appointed professor in Tianjin city.

    His research is focused on biomedical photonics, biomedical optical imaging, biomedical photoelectric engineering, radiological imaging techniques, medical image analysis and intelligent diagnosis method and inversion methodology in image reconstruction and recovery. In these fields, he has contributed many patents and published many high quality papers cited by SCI.
