Jianqiang Gu joined Tianjin University in 2010 and currently is a professor at the School of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering (SPIOE). He teaches the undergraduate course--Terahertz Technology and Applications which introduces the basic concept and the newest improvement of terahertz technology. As the president, Jianqiang Gu has obtained over three National Natural Science Foundation grants, one of which is the the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars. He has also been named in the Tianjin Municipal Special Program of Talents Development for Excellent Youth Scholars. His current research interests include terahertz time-domain spectroscopy systems, terahertz metamaterials, and in particular, the application of metamaterials to enhance terahertz sources and detectors. More information of Jianqiang Gu's research experience can be found at Research Gate (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Jianqiang_Gu2).
