Dr. Liu received her B.S. and M.S. degree in Optoelectronic Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. She received her Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 2012, with a focus on micro optical cavities and thier bio/chemical sensing applications. Her current research focuses on the development of portable and wearable sensors based on nanomaterials and novel sensing schemes. She is also interested in the fundamental physics of transport of carriers and photon-electron interactions in nanomaterials and nanocomposite.
