Dr. Li received the B.E. degree in automation and the M.S. degree in control theory and control engineering, both from Tianjin Polytechnic University, China, in 1996 and 1999, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in engineering from Yamaguchi University, Japan in 2005.From 2007 to 2025，he worked as an Associate Professor at Tianjin University, China, and has been a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering since then. His current research interests include control theory and its applications to surgical robots. He has published about 80 papers and hold 40+ patents.
