Li Xianggao achieved his bachelor degree in Hunan University in 1983 and after two years working in Tianjin institute of xerography technology, he pursued his master degree in Changchun institute of application chemistry Chinese academy of sciences in 1988. He joined Tianjin University in 2001. 

Pro.Li has been working on organic semiconduct materials for many years. And his current reasearch interests are molecular design， synthesis of organic optoelectronic materials  and their applications in OLED, OPV and perovskite solar cell, preparation of nanomaterials and their applications in electrophoresis and flat panel display, synthesis and inducstry application of functional fine chemicals.
