Kaiming Nie is currently an associate professor in Tianjin University, China. He received B.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Electronic Information and Engineering, Tianjin University in 2009 and 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he had held a post-doctoral position with Tianjin University. From September 2016 to March 2017, he did his research at University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada as a visiting scholar. In 2017, he joined the School of Microelectronics, Tianjin University as an associate professor. His research interests are mainly in CMOS image sensor chip design and mixed analog/digital circuit design.

团队近年来承担国家科技重大专项01专项/02专项、国家科技创新2030—“新一代人工智能”重大项目、国家863计划、国家重点研发计划、国家自然科学基金重点/面上/青年项目、天津市人工智能重大专项、重大产业合作等项目60余项,累计经费超1亿元。团队突破了大规模图像传感芯片架构、像素、读出电路和成像计算等多项核心技术,成功研制了仿生智能传感芯片、亿级像素超大面阵成像芯片,微光大动态范围成像芯片、基于TOF的3D成像芯片、单光子量子成像芯片、时间延迟积分型成像芯片、全局曝光图像传感芯片等系列十余款具有国际水平的高端图像传感芯片。团队在IEEE JSSC、TCASI、IEEE TED中国科学等高水平期刊及顶级会议发表高水平学术论文200余篇,获得授权专利150余项,出版及翻译教材专著5本,参与国家标准《集成电路CMOS图像传感器测试方法》的制定。
