Wei Tan is a professor of Tianjin University, doctoral supervisor, Tianjin famous teacher. Part time of vice Chairman of professional committee of the Chinese chemical society of chemical safety committee member, China chemical industry institute of chemical machinery professional committee member, the Chinese society of mechanical professional committee, corrugated pipe and pipe mechanics branch of Chinese mechanical engineering society pressure vessel heat exchanger branch committee, the Chinese mechanical engineering society (CMES) pressure vessel design committee, nonferrous metals society of China energy conservation and emissions reduction Member of the Professional Committee, member of the heat exchanger Sub-technical Committee of the National Technical Committee of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Standardization, member of the National Technical Committee of Separation Machinery Standardization, vice president of Tianjin Special Equipment Safety and Energy Saving Association, editorial board member of Pressure Vessel magazine. She has undertaken more than 60 projects of National Foundation of China, national key research and development projects, Tianjin Science and Technology support key projects, and enterprises and institutions entrusted projects, and 16 authorized invention patents. She has published more than 150 scientific and technological papers, and edited 5 textbooks and monographs such as "Design Basis of Chemical Machinery" and "Pressure Vessel Safety Management Technology". Take part in the preparation of GB151 heat exchanger and NB/T 47041 tower vessel standards
