Dr. Chao Wang was awarded in 2013 a PhD degree in Hydraulic Engineering by Tianjin University. He joined Tianjin Univesity in 2013 as a lecturer and was promoted to associate professor five years later. For the past years, Dr. Chao Wang was  granted many honors and awards, for example, first prize of scientific and technological progress in China Blasting Industry Association 2018; the famous teacher and member of teaching team of ideological and political education in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, 2021; 

He has a broad research interests, e.g., static and dynamic analysis of hydraulic structures, risk and reliability of engineering structures, and stability of underground caverns and slopes, etc. On these subjects, he has produced more than 80 peer-reviewed papers published by international journals and conference proceedings up to October, 2021.
