Brief Introduction

Yun Zhang (M’13) was born in Jiangsu, China, in 1980. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Harbin University of Science and Technology, Harbin, China, in 2003 and 2006, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2010.

    In 2010, he joined the Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, as a Lecturer in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, where he is currently an Associate Professor. From December 2016 to December 2017, he was an Academic Visitor with the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Group at the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, U.K.. His current research interests include topologies, modulation, and control strategies of power converters for electric vehicles and microgrids. Dr. Zhang is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Power Electronics.
