Brief Introduction

Dr. Peng Zhou received his BS and PhD degrees in biomedical engineering from Tianjin University (TJU) in 2002 and 2007, respectively. Dr. Zhou took a lecture position at Tianjin university right after he graduated, in the School of Precision Instruments and Optoelectronics Engineering, Tianjin university. Dr. Zhou became productive during his teaching and research work, and co-founded the Neural Engineering and Rehabilitation Laboratory. Due to his excellent achievements, Dr. Zhou has been promoted as an associate professor and deputy chair of biomedical engineering department in 2011.

Currently, Dr. Zhou also serves as the Committee member of Biomedical Electronics Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics,Deputy Chair of the IEEE-EMBS Tianjin Chapter,Council Member of Board of Specialty Committee of TCM Diagnostic and Therapeutic Devices of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies,Senior Member of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Director of Medical equipment and technology education and training branch of Chinese Medical Equipment Association, Secretary-general of China National Graduate Education Guidance Committee for Professional Degree of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Zhou also served as Session Chair of the International Conference on Awareness Science and Technology (2015) and participated in organizing the 2012 IEEE International Conference on Virtual Environments, Human-Computer Interfaces and Measurement Systems (IEEE VECIMS 2012) held in Tianjin, China.
