Brief Introduction

Dr. Li-Na Zhu received her Ph. D degree from the Department of Chemistry, Nankai University, in 2005. She joined the School of Science, Tianjin University, and became an associate professor in 2007. Now her research work focuses on investigation the interactions between small molecules and metal complexes with duplex DNA and other special secondary structures of nucleic acid, including G-quadruplex and triplex DNAs. Her research interests are also involved in the synthesis and properties of anticancer biomaterials based on porphyrin compounds. Dr. Li-Na Zhu's research has been funded by  National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Tianjin, and Innovation Fund of Tianjin University.
