Recently, the high-level meeting on "The future of Cities" had been successfully concluded at the conference room 12 of the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The meeting also discussed the awards for the 2016 International Student Design Competition, sponsored by Council for Caring Communities (ICCC) and Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
The works “Self-sufficiency: Reconstruction of elementary school in rural Taiwan”, byTianjin University students Ge Kangning and Yang Hui from the School of Architecture won the first prize.
International Council for Caring Communities (ICCC) is a not-for-profit organization that has Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. This competition was founded in 1994 and has lasted for more than 20 years, promoting a “Society for All Generations.” This is the first time for our students to be awarded in this competition.
