TJU Ranks 37th in QS Architecture/Built Environment Rankings

In the 2022 QS World University Rankings by Subjects, Tianjin University (TJU) ranks 37th in Architecture/Built Environment and placed the 3rd among universities in Chinese mainland.

This year, the QS World University Rankings by Subject has covered 51 subjects and received responses from over 130,000 academics and nearly 75,000 survey responses from graduate employers worldwide.

The School of Architecture in TJU is one of the oldest architectural schools in China. And this domestically renowned school has been on the right track of enhancing its international reputation. Another key factor in the evaluation is the employability. In order to meet the requirements of future employers, the school is committed to cultivating students with both professional knowledge and practical ability which means connecting with the current market and predicting future human life. Its vision is to “build the ideal human habitat for the future rooted on the wisdom of Chinese architecture”.

After several years’ unceasing growth and progress, the School, founded in 1937 scored 37th place in the internationally reputable ranking. This achievement embodied the continuous efforts from all that have been devoting themselves in the respects of architectural education, scientific research, talent recruiting, international cooperation, and social service, as well as the constant support from the school’s international partners and the alumni who distinguish themselves in the fields of architectural design and built environment.
