From August 22 to 23, a delegation from Tianjin University led by Mr. Yang Xianjin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin University, attended series of activities of the 2022 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week in Guizhou.
On August 22, Mr. Li Bingjun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and Governor of Guizhou Province, and Mr. Yang Xianjin witnessed the signing ceremony of the Framework Agreement on Counterpart Support between Tianjin University and Guiyang University. Mr. Zheng Gang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Tianjin University, signed the agreement with Mr. Lv Baoping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guiyang University.
Mr. Li Bingjun said that Tianjin University's competitive disciplines have obvious characteristics and match the needs in Guizhou's development strategy in many areas. He hoped to further deepen substantial cooperation and better achieve win-win development.
Mr. Yang Xianjin stated that Tianjin University would take the signing of the agreement as a new beginning, and give full play to its own advantages while implementing the agreement to help improve Guizhou's quality of education. Tianjin University would find more cooperation opportunities by focusing on Guizhou's industrial development needs, so as to continuously deepen the exchange and cooperation between the two sides and promote Guizhou's high-quality economic and social development.
On August 23, Mr. Hu Zhongxiong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the CPC Guiyang Municipal Committee, met with Mr. Yang Xianjin and his delegation in Guiyang. Both parties had in-depth exchanges on strengthening city-university cooperation.
On the afternoon of August 22, a conference on Tianjin University's counterpart support to Guiyang University was held at Guiyang University, hosted by Mr. Lv Baoping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guiyang University.
During their stay in Guizhou, Mr. Yang Xianjin also visited the Guizhou Alumni Association to meet with the representatives of Guizhou alumni. Mr. Li Zhuhua, President of the Guizhou Alumni Association, reported on the work of the Guizhou Alumni Association.
