The Georgia Tech Tianjin University Shenzhen Institute Global Enrollment 2017 for Master Students

Recently, the Georgia Tech Tianjin University Shenzhen Institute launched its 2017 enrollment program. The first enrollment plans to admit 90 part-time and 20 full-time postgraduate students in a variety of majors such as Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Circuits, Communication, Environment, Computers, Microelectronics and Software.

The Institute, located in Shenzhen Nanshan District, adopts an international cultivation model. Students can apply for the Master’s Degree program in Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE), and are given priority to study for the doctor’s degrees of Georgia Tech.

The Institute intends to establish three scientific research centers. Its tutoring team will consist of world-famous professors and scholars including academicians from the Chinese and the American Academy of Engineering, Changjiang scholars, distinguished young scholars and outstanding national teachers. All the research centers are oriented to developing along international academic frontiers. Among them, the research center of wearable printed electronics and advanced communication will conduct technological research on the next generation of production targeting the major scientific problems encountered in fulfilling national strategic goals: To fulfill the first goal of green architecture and sponge city development means it will aim to work in close co-operation with well-known enterprises to form a collaborative innovation model combining production, studying and research; the second goal concerning intelligent signal processing and data analysis mainly studies big data handling and artificial intelligent technology means the Institute aims to construct an international first-class research base.

Georgia Tech Tianjin University Shenzhen Institute was founded by Tianjin University and Georgia Tech in collaboration with Shenzhen city. The Institute, located in Shenzhen Nanshan District where a multitude of eminent enterprises are found, embraces favorable interactive platforms. It will offer student scholarships and those who are selected to the double master program will be awarded generous support. The Institute will consistently focus on academic research challenging international frontiers, construct an international first-class institute and create a model in China for high-level Chinese-Foreign cooperation in education.
