Delegation from University of Malaya Visited School of Civil Engineering

On November 7th, a faulty group lead by Prof. Abdul Aziz Bin Abdul Raman, Dean of the School of Engineering,MS.Rozitah Binti Md Amin,Senior Principal Assistant Registrar,and Mr. Alias Bin Abdullah,Principal Science Officer at University of Malaya visited School of Civil Engineering. Professor Jiang Mingjing, Vice Dean of School of Civil Engineering hosted a meeting. Prof. Zhao Qiuhong, Dean Assistant, Professor Lam Wei Haur (Malaysia), Ms. Wang Fengyang, Foreign Affairs Secretary attended.

Prof. Jiang Mingjing warmly welcomed the arrival of the delegation and introduced the development of Tianjin University and the School of Civil Engineering. After brief self-introduction, the two sides had extensive discussions on research collaboration, student exchange program and staff exchange activities. The two sides expressed strong interest in further cooperation, such as joint international scientific research projects and joint publications. As for student exchanges, the two sides expressed their willingness to launch short-term exchange programs for undergraduates and postgraduate students. The mutual visit of staff from both sides during the cooperation period can make both parties familiar with different working methods and environment, thus better promoting the development of international cooperation.

Finally, the two sides sent gifts to each other and took a group photo. Details of the cooperation plan will be carried out by the two sides as soon as possible.

University of Malaya is the oldest and ranked the NO.1 national university in Malaysia. It is located in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. University of Malaya has its roots in Singapore with the establishment of King Edward VII College of Medicine in 1905. Currently, His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah is the Chancellor of the University of Malaya.
