Nothing can be compared to the blooming of the crabapple trees and the crabapple blossom festival to celebrate the arrival of spring at Tianjin University (TJU). The 2019 Crabapple Blossom Festival at TJU is on March 31, 2019. It is an event that not only witnesses the kick-off of spring but symbolizes the glorious history of TJU and precious memories for students, teachers and alumni as well.

The blossoming crabapple trees, covered with pale pink and white flowers and faint fragrance, adorn the roads and corners, changing the campuses into a carnival of elegant flowers. The swaying branches in the spring breeze seem to greet visitors who share the same desire to experience TJU’s breathtaking beauty.

With the theme of “Pursuing Dreams in the New Era”, the 2019 Crabapple Blossom Festival at TJU features a variety of activities such as TJU History Museum visits, enrollment consultation, alumni receptions and scientific and cultural interactive displays in both the Weijin Road Campus and the Peiyangyuan Campus. There will also be postcards and souvenirs prepared for the visitors to bring the memory back home. Alumni and people from all walks of life are welcome to enjoy the festival.

Sightseeing on the Weijin Road Campus located in downtown areas will be challenging. Therefore, it is recommended that visitors choose environmental-friendly ways such as public transportation to get to the campus. What’s more, traffic controls will be enforced in some sections of the campuses.
