Tianjin University and the University of Huddersfield to Deepen Cooperation

On May 8, 2019, Andrew D. Ball, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Huddersfield, UK, led a delegation to visit Tianjin University. Tianjin University Vice President Yuan Yingjin met with the delegation.

Vice President Yuan said that Tianjin University attaches great importance to the development of internationalization and curriculum taught in English. Tianjin University has cooperated closely with many prestigious universities in the UK in terms of faculty and staff exchange and research collaboration. School of Mechanical Engineering and School of Precision Instruments and Optoelectronics Engineering of Tianjin University have a strong foundation for cooperation with the University of Huddersfield. At present, the two universities have jointly applied for the International Science and Technology Cooperation Fund, and many faculty and students have joined exchange programs to the University of Huddersfield with the support of the China Scholarship Council. He expressed his hope that in the future, the two universities could explore exchanges and cooperation in more academic areas.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Andrew D. Ball hoped that the two universities could further deepen the cooperation in the field of scientific research, and at the same time more British students could have opportunities exchange and study at Tianjin University.
