Two Tianjin University Doctors Attend Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings

Huang Zhiqi, Zheng Xueli, two doctors from Tianjin University were honored to attend the 67th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings along with 28 Nobel laureates and 420 young researchers and scholars from 88 countries who also attended the event.

Twenty Chinese representatives were selected to attend the meeting from 108 candidates. The two doctors from Tianjin University were able to attend the meeting after fierce competition. After the meeting, all the Chinese representatives visited the headquarters of the largest chemical company, BASF, German universities and scientific research institutions.

Huang Zhiqi, has had 13 papers published, some of them in top international journals such as Nature Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc. He has also attended some renowned academic meetings, such as the American Chemical Society Annual Meeting, the American Chemical Engineers Annual Meeting and the China Photocatalytic Conference. From May, 2017, Huang Zhiqi has furthered his study at the Singapore Nanyang Technological University.

Zheng Xueli will study at Stanford University after graduation, researching the composition design of energy conversion materials, in the area of controllable preparations and catalytic mechanisms. Her creative research was highly praised by the president of Tianjin University. Zheng Xueli has numerous papers published in internationally renowned journals such as Science, Advanced Materials, Small, and Advanced Materials Interface. She has applied for three international patents. In October, 2016, she gave a report at Stanford University Synchrotron Radiation Source Center and was presented with the American Materials Research Conference Graduate Gold Award.
