Hainan Cultural Tourism, Health and Nutrition Research Institute Established

The College of Management and Economics (CoME) of Tianjin University (TJU) and the Hospitality Institute of Sanya (HIS) attached to CCCC Ocean Investment Holding Company Limited (CCCCOI) jointly established Hainan Cultural Tourism, Health and Nutrition Research Institute (HCTHNRI),aiming to build a first-class comprehensive and open industry-academia-research platform in China.

On the morning of October 19, the signing ceremony of HCTHNRI was successfully held at HIS. HCTHNRI aims to develop characteristic tourism industry clusters, open new forms of tourism, and provide strong intellectual support for institutional innovation, industrial development and policy formulation of Hainan Free Trade Port industry.

Ma Shou-feng, CPC Party Chief of CoME, said in his speech that HCTHNRI was a combination of strengths and advantages in terms of professional training between CoME and HIS.Relying on the academic and faculty advantages of CoME and the educational practices ofCCCCOI in cruise economy, cultural tourism and health care, the Institute would build an integrated industry-academia-research base to realize a new way of cultivating talents.

Jia You-wei, CPC Party Chief of HIS deemed the establishment of HCTHNRI as the beginning of a win-win cooperation. “In the future, the two sides will strive to build a new platform and mechanism for cooperation and development, and further utilize the advantages of both sides' education resources to develop cruise, cultural tourism, health care and other emerging specialties,” Jia said.

Ma Shou-feng, CPC Party Chief of CoME, and Liu Yan, Executive General Manager of Hainan Regional Headquarters of CCCCOI officially inaugurate the establishment of HCTHNRI.
