The School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology held the doctoral Candidate Forum on October 27thand 28th.Duringthe opening ceremony held on Oct. 27th, Jay Siegel, Dean of SPST, announced the official opening of the forum and delivered an opening speech. Prof. Qi Wei from the University’s Graduate School attended the ceremony and congratulated on the opening of the forum.
Prof. Fang Hao from Shandong University and Prof. Hu Qingzhong from Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were invited to be the featured speakers at the opening ceremony and talked about “Discovery of Isoform HDAC Inhibition” and “Selective Inhibitors of Steroidogenic CYP Enzymes as Promising Treatments for Hormone Dependent Diseases” respectively.
Doctoral candidates studyingmedicinal chemistry, pharmacy, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical analysis, molecular and cellular pharmacology and health and pharmaceutical management presented academic reports in three branch venues and welcomed the suggestions and guidance from experts and professors.
There was also a poster presentation showcasing some graduate students’ research held on the 2nd floor of Building 24.
The forum was live broadcasted online for teachers and international students who were unable to be present at the forum due to COVID-19 pandemic.
