The project “KGMB—New Direction for the Adsorption of Heavy Metal in Sewage” was launched by Tianjin Huaqing Huanyu Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. founded by Dr. Shi Quanbin from Tianjin University’s School of Environmental Science and Engineering. "KGMB" is a kind of advanced adsorption material that is of low cost and environment-friendly, with an adsorption rate of some heavy metal ions up to 96%. As an alternative to activated carbon in machinery, electroplating, and metallurgical industries, it can address the defects of current absorption materials, such as the low adsorption capacity, non-reusability and secondary pollution.
