Architect Students Win Five Prizes in National Competition

Students from the School of Architecture won five awards in the 8th National College Digital Art & Design Awards (NCDA) 2020.

Sponsored by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, NCDA is on the "National university discipline competition ranking list" issued by the Ministry of Education and China Society of Higher Education and considered as one of the most important competitions in the reform of higher education and the cultivation of innovative talents.

The annual competition has been held for eight consecutive years since 2012. In 2020, nearly 1 million teachers and students from more than 1100 colleges and university participated in the competition and submitted 60,113 works. The proportion of the first, second and third prizes in the total number of works is 2.25%, 3.6% and 5.4% respectively.

Students from our university’s School of Architecture won first prize in the national competition for its entry"Shifting" Book Bar - A Characteristic Social Place Focusing on Information Transfer, and second prize for the entryLandscape Reconstruction of Weijin Riverside, Tianjin. There were also three third prize winner entries, namelyTOHO - Tower Office Home Office,Ecological Restoration Design of Highland Valley Landscape, andCyberpunk Movies Art Museum.
