Wang Yuan received the Ph.D. degree(Physical Geography) from Beijing Normal University in 2005. She received her B. S. Degree(Environmental Science) and M. S. Degree(Geographical Science) from Tianjin Normal University in 2002 and 1999, respectively. Now she is an associate professor with School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tianjin University. And she is a member of China-Australia Centre for Sustainable Urban Development, and is a member of Tianjin Society for Sustainable Development.

Her main research field is environmental planning and management and environmental economics. And she has made many research results especially in the input-output model applied on environmental science, life cycle assessment of environmental impact and pollution rights for approval, distribution and trading. She has published 11 papers in SCI.
