Jianhui Wang entered in Department of Chemistry, Jilin University in 1988, and received his bachelor, master, and doctoral degree in 1992, 1995, and 1999, respectively. He joined in Department of Chemistry, Jilin University as a faculty member at 1995, and promoted to lecturer in 1997. He has been hired by Tianjin University as a professor since 2005. During 2001-2005, he conducted his research works in Northern Illinois University, Southern Methodist University, and University of Florida as a visiting scholars or postdoctoral research fellow, where he published more than 20 research papers in high impact journals in the field of carborane chemistry. Some rare earth carborane complexes have been selected as the cover page of Organometallics and European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry journals. He now mainly engaged in design and synthesis of novel organometallic complexes as catalysts for high throughput olefin metathesis reactions. His another research concern is to develop high efficient transformation processes based on metal mediated carbon-carbon bond activation reactions.
