1.Bioenergy and Environment
BioEnergy is foreseen to play an important role in near-future energy picture in particular for oil and gas market. However, major disputes, such as food supply security, environmental and ecological uncertainties and associated biodiversity, are arising and spreading among politicians and the public. These disputes may significantly hinder BioEnergy development in the dimension of technical and policy aspects.
Our group mainly focus on the technology development of energy utilization and environmental technology using innovative concept for biomass wastes and then makes the transformation of these technological achievements in last two decades.The group leader, Prof. Guanyi Chen was successively responsible for key research project supported by National Natural Science Foundation, 973/ 863/ National Science and Technology Support Programs, cooperation projects or tasks of international agencies (EU, UNDP) or industrials. Through the application of these research results, the tremendous economic benefits and outstanding environmentally social benefits has been achieved.T
