Brief Introduction

Youjian Song was born in Tianjin, China, in 1981. He received the B.S. and
Ph.D. degrees in optical engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in
2004 and 2009, respectively. From 2009 to 2011, he was a Postdoctoral
Researcher with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology
(KAIST), Daejeon, Korea. He joined the faculty at Tianjin University in 2011
and he is now an Associate Professor. He is a member of IEEE Photonics Society and the
Optical Society of America (OSA). His research interests include novel
ultrafast lasers and optical frequency combs, timing jitter control of
femtosecond laser pulses and the applications in precision metrology.

He has published 16 SCI-indexed peer-reviewed journal articles as the first author or corresponding author. Eight of these papers were published at Optics Letters or Optics Express including one cover story. He has also co-authored over 40 SCI-indexed journal articles. His publications have reached over 660 citations till now (Web of Science). His H-index in Web-of-Science is 14 (Research ID: D-2437-2016).

Currently, He is PI of one on-going research project from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Moreover, as PI, he has already completed two NSFC projects and one project from the National High-tech R&D Program (863 program).
