个人简介

I got my Ph.D at Tianjin University in 2005, and then I worked at the same institution as a postdoc for two years. I was promoted to an associate professor in 2007 and have been working there since then. From September 2006 to December 2006 and from November 2008 to May 2009, I was a visiting scientist at the Centre for Photonics and Photonic Materials, Department of Physics, University of Bath, UK, working on photonic crystal fibers. From June 2013 to September 2013 and from July 2017 to September 2017, I was a visiting scientist at the InternalLaser Center, Moscow State University, Russia, working on nonlinear optics and terahertz photonics. My research has been supported by four grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).


I am an author or co-author of more than 150 peer-viewed papers. I am also a co-author of the book Photonic Crystal Fiber and Femtosecond Laser Technology published in Chinese by China Machine Press, which is well received. I am also a co-author for Chapter 11 (Femtosecond Laser Applications in Micro/Nano Science and Technology) in Volume IV of the Springer Progress in Ultrafast Intense Laser Science Series.


At the Ultrafast Laser Laboratory and Center for Terahertz Waves, my research interests include terahertz photonics, photonic and terahertz devices, and ultrafast laser science and its applications. In particular, in my early career, I mainly worked on photonic crystal fibers and their applications in nonlinear optics and femtosecond laser technology. In recent years, my focus has also been on the generation of high-energy terahertz pulses and development of terahertz functional devices.
