Professor and Executive Vice Dean of the School of Architecture and Engineering, Tianjin University. He was awarded the National
Outstanding Youth Science Fund, the first batch of Outstanding Youth Science Fund of Tianjin, and the Tianjin Youth Science and
Technology Award, etc. He has long been engaged in the research of blast resistance analysis and design of building structures.
He has long been engaged in the research of explosion-resistant analysis and design of building structures, and has systematically
researched the standards of explosion-resistant defense and explosion load modeling of buildings, explosion-resistant design and
protection technology of building components, analysis of continuous collapse of building structures and anti-collapse design, etc.,
and has developed the theories and methods of explosion-resistant design of building structures.
He has published one book and more than 100 academic papers, with a maximum of 300 citations in SCI. He was awarded the
second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress and the first prize of Tianjin Scientific and Technological Progress. He
is also a member of the editorial board of Journal of Building Structures and International Journal of Protective Structures.

1.Structural Engineering and Disaster Prevention and Mitigation
The research team of “Structural Engineering and Disaster Prevention and Mitigation” is a high-level innovation team formed in the development process of the State Key Discipline of Structural Engineering of Tianjin University. The team carries out innovative research on high-performance structural systems such as steel structures, space structures and modular structures, seismic vibration damping of buildings and bridges, and blast protection of building structures.
There are 12 team members, including 5 professors, 4 associate professors, 2 associate researchers, 1 engineer, 7 doctoral supervisors and 3 master's supervisors.

Li Zhongxian, Professor, Ph. D., Tianjin University, is the director of the Institute of Bridge and Structural Engineering and the director of the Key Experiment of the Ministry of Education of Binhai Civil Engineering Structure and Safety.
