Dr. Wang Qiao is a lecturer and Master’s supervisor of Urban Planning Department at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. She is a national registered urban planner. She is the director assistant of Eco-city and Green Building Research Center of Architecture school; research secretary of the Small-Town Planning and Development Institute of Architecture school; the member of the Academic Work Committee, Urban Security and Disaster Prevention Committee, Small-Town Planning Committee, and Youth Working Committee of Tianjin Urban Planning Association. Her main research fields include Urban Planning and Design, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, and Urban Resilience. She has hosted 7 scientific research projects and participated in 15 scientific research projects. For now, she has published 7 books (2 as the main author and 5 participate editing) and nearly 30 academic papers. She has won awards like the Shen Zhikang-Teacher-Award and the Excellent Teaching Award of Outstanding-Young-Teacher of Tianjin University. Besides, four academic papers have won outstanding paper awards; six practical projects have won the national and provincial design awards; as guiding teacher, 12 student’s planning design projects have won international and domestic competitions.
