Zhanqi Tang received his Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics from the Tianjin University in 2014. In his Ph. D, he was awarded by China Scholarship Council as a visiting Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012. He began as a Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at the Nanyang technological University in Singapore in 2015, and returned to the Tianjin University as a faculty member in 2017. His research focuses on experimental studies of turbulent flows, and pursues to understand, predict and manipulate flow fields for improved performance over various regimes.
