Jackie Wang graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) before pursuing dual Master’s degrees in International and World History at Columbia University and the London School of Economics (LSE). She earned a PhD in History from the University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on women and business history as well as polo history and culture. She achieved a dissertation with distinction through rigorous academic scholarship and has published journal articles in top journals such as Enterprise and Society. Jackie has worked at UN Women in private sector partnerships where she engaged companies, foundations, and individuals in partnering with UN Women to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. She is also a polo enthusiast, co-founding 1003 POLO and promoting Chinese polo and culture. She is the author of Polo Rulebook and Polo in China and serves as the executive director of the Polo Studies Center at Tianjin University.
