Brief Introduction

Dr. Khan M. G. Mostofa (Associate Editor of  “Frontiers in Marine Science”)is a Professor at the School of Earth System Science, Tianjin University, China since 2015. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh in 1991), double MS degree (Chemistry, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh in 1992 & Earth and Planetary Sciences-Biogeochemistry, Nagoya University, Japan in 2001) and Ph. D degree from Hiroshima University (Japan) in 2005 in the field of Environmental Dynamics and Management. He has been worked as a postdoctoral fellow (2006-2008) at the Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China and then appointed as an Associate Professor (2008-2014) at the same Institute. His current research focuses on photochemistry and biogeochemistry of organic matter as well as their biogeochemical linkages with various biogenic & non-biogenic elements in freshwater, marine and soil environments. One of his most outstanding research works is to publish the book “Photobiogeochemistry of Organic Matter: Principles and Practices in Water Environments” by Springer on 2013 along with collaboration with many distinguished International Scientists around the world.
