Guo Ruiwei is a associate Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Tianjin University.
He begined his academic career in Tianjin University after received M.S. degree in material science in 1987 from Tianjin University. Later received Ph.D. degrees in biomedical engineering from Tianjin University in 2003.
His research interests include the design and synthesis of water-soluble polymers and amphiphilic polymers for industrial applications, heterogeneous phase radical polymerization technology and RAFT polymerization.
He was engaged in the study on dispersion polymerization of styrene/ acrylonitrile in polyether polyols and the manufacture technology of high content polymer graft polyols (POP) from 1993 to 2003. These works was put into industrial applications successfully and received Scientific and Technological Progress Awards from Tianjin and Sinopec Group.
