Wentie Niu is a professor in School of Mechanical Engineering, Tianjin University, China. He received his Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering at Tianjin University in 2002. His current research interests include digital modeling, design and optimization, and co-simulation of complex machinery systems with particular applications to high-precision machine tools, parallel kinematic machines, complex spatial pipelines, oil exploration devices, etc.
