Dr. Shen was associate Professor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Tianjin University since 2015.He earned his Ph.D. Degree at Department of Engineering, Aarhus University, Denmark in 2012. He received B. Eng. Degree and M.S. Degree from China Agricultural University in 2007 and 2009, respectively.
Prof.Shen' main interest was the Indoor air environment in built environments such as residential buildings, thermal plants, aircraft cabin, agricultrial buildings and etc. In terms of residential buildings, from 2016 to 2019 he participated in the project supported by national key project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, China on “Green Buildings and Building Industrialization” through Grant No. 2016YFC0700500, mainly focused on: “Survey study on Indoor air quality and control measures in resident buildings in southwest cities of China”. In terms of thermal plants, from 2014 to 2017 he was the Principle Investigator of the project financed by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC): “Simulation tools of airflow conditions in thermal processing plant”. In terms of aircraft cabin air environment, from 2013 to 2015 he participated in Boeing project “air Distributions and Contaminant Transport in Commercial Airliner Cabins with Gaspers”, and ANSYS project “coupled simulation of air distribution in commercial aircraft cabin with the environmental control system”. In terms of agricultrial building air environment, from 2010 to 2012, his PhD project focused on the ammonia emission control measure in large-space buildings.
Prof. Shen Won the 2012 international agricultural engineering cooperation scholarship,the 2012 outstanding PhD scholarship in Denmark Aarhus University. In the subject of air environment simulation and measurement technique, he published more than 30 academic papers, among which 13 were the top SCI journals in the field of building environment and energy application engineering as the first or corresponding author. He applied three patents in which one patent was authorized.

- Measurement and Numerical Simulation of Air Environment:
Prof. Shen has working on the measurement of air environment since his PhD study. He was appling a 2D Laser Doppler Anemometer and Ultrasonic Anemometer to measure the air distribution in scaled and in-situ experiment. - Indoor Pollutant Control: The main reseach of this topic was to investigate the polluted air transportion from the natually ventilated buildings such as agricultrial buildings and thermal plants.
- Air Physics: The main topic related with this subject was the numerical simulation and wind tunnel scale model experiment of air fluid field. The Direct Numerical Simulation, Large Eddy Simulation, RANS tubulence models has been applied and validated to in terms of the air physics.
