Genqi Xu received his Ph.D. degree in Operational Research and Cybernetics from the Chinese University Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science in 2000.
From 1983 to 2003, he worked in the Department of Mathematics, Shanxi University, China, where he was an associate professor (1993–1996) and then professor (1996–2003). Since 2003, he has been a full professor in the Department of Mathematics, Tianjin University. His research interests include Distributed Parameter System Control, Spectrum of Linear Operator and Theory of Infinite-Dimensional Linear Systems.
