Zhi-Wen Zhu is currently an associate professor in Tianjin University, China. He is also the responsible professor of National Excellent Course: Theoretical Mechanics in Tianjin University. He received M.S. and Ph.D degree in Engineering Mechanics from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2000 and 2003 respectively. He received the B.S. degree in ship engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1996. He is the winner of the 1st order award of the 5th National Teaching Competition for Basic Mechanics in 2014. His current research interests focus on nonlinear dynamics and control of smart structures.
He presides and participates in 12 research projects from Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Aeronautical Science Foundation of China (ASFC), Ph.D. Programs Foundation of the Ministry of Education (MOE) of China, Tianjin Research Program of Application Foundation and Advanced Technology, and so on. The projects amount is more than 1.5 million RMBs. He has published more than 50 papers in international journal and society (all papers as the first author or corresponding author), including International Journal of Hydrogen Energy (IJHE), Journal of Applied Physics (JAP), Thin Solid Films (TSF), AIP Advances, Chinese Physics B (CPB), Journal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism (JSNM), etc., among which 32 papers are included in SCI (all papers as the first author or corresponding author), 7 papers are in JCR-2, and 9 papers are in JCR-3, total impact factor is about 35, WoS cited 38 times, and H - index is 4.
