Zhang Yanxia was born in Shanxi, China, in July 14, 1962. She received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Tianjin University, China, in 1986 and 2003, respectively. She is currently a Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Tianjin University. Her research interests include fault analysis of power system, DC system protection and control, out-of-step splitting protection based on the wide area information, non-effectively grounded system fault line detection.
